Responsibilities:
The primary placement in the first two years will be within the UK Merchandising (Trading) team where you would train to be a Commodity Trader. Key role responsibilities are:
§ Develop and execute risk management and trading strategies within Futures, Premium, Foreign exchange and Freight markets
§ Manage contribution to assets and inherent risks, co-ordinate sales, shipments and operations.
§ Develop an in-depth understand of local markets and maximise local merchandising opportunities to optimise revenues against costs.
§ Analyse and report local and world market supply and demand using the resulting information to create trading strategy.
§ Manage and develop relationships with external customers and suppliers
TrainingProgramme:
In the first two years a Commodity Trader Commercial Management Trainee will gain experience in varying roles within our UK commercial team. They will be exposed to sales and purchasing, commodity trading, risk management, commercial asset management and business market analysis.
In addition all our graduates are assigned short term placements with in other departments and other countries to provide a rounded knowledge of the business including, logistics, customer services, operations and finance.
Qualifications
Candidates should:
Have obtained a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant subject
Be fluent in English. Knowledge of another European language will be a plus.
Full driving licence
