With the mission to observe and analyse the role and responsibilities of science and innovation in the 21st Century, iSEI is a prestigious research institute, chaired by Nobel Laureate John Sulston. Founded in 1986 by Margaret Brazier and John Harris, CSEP is one of Europe’s leading institutions, undertaking pioneering research and teaching courses in bioethics and medical law. Both centres are based in the School of Law.
Following a substantial strategic award from the Wellcome Trust to iSEI, iSEI/CSEP is able to offer generous financial support to outstanding applicants, through a number of our postgraduate programmes:
• MPhil/PhD (research)
• MA or Intercalated MSc in Health Care Ethics and Law (taught, campus-based)
• Bioethics and Medical Jurisprudence PhD (structured)
