Some missions
- As a Financial Management Trainee you are trained in the methods and techniques used within Electrabel's Finance Department. You participate in a precise training program spread over 24 months covering additional hands-on experience that will provide the foundation for your future position. Flexibility to adapt to the different environments into which you are integrated is a must, bringing your efforts to bear on achieving the units' missions
- As a forecasting officer, you foresee and predict the energy needs of our customers on the short and long term. This analysis is done per market segment, and by working together with the market and sales department. Your final goal is to ensure that we have a clear idea of how much electricty and gas has to be delivered to our customers within a specific timeframe
- As a trading risk analyst, you analyse and report on the values and risks of Electrabel's European Trading activities in the energy market -specially the transaction executions for the Internal portofolio management department; and control the compliance of these activities with the policy and procedures designed by the risk committe. You are also active in the implementation of product valuation and risk measurement tools
- As a Junior modeller analyst you work on the development of state-of-the-art market risk modelling, risk measurement, and portfolio risk management. The models you create will be used in several othere departments and to perform a wide range of activities. In this sense, your capactity to addapt existing acamemic models into practical tools will give an improvement and added value into our day to day operations
As a pricing engineer you develop commercial offers for retail and business clients. You do this by understanding our client's profile (consumption of electricity or/and gas), and on the other hand by looking at the prices of electricity and/or gas on the financial forward markets. This is done working together with colleagues from the sourcing, trading, marketing and sales departments
Uw profiel
- You have an university degree in Economics, Finance; or Mathematics, Electrical engineering (with an additional Economics or Finance degree)
- You are fluent in English; any other European language is a plus
- You have a good basic understanding of the European energy markets and key drivers of energy industry economics
- You have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Entrepreneurial, pioneering attitude is a must
